I created my first stop motion film for a course I took at Occidental College with Carolina Caycedo called Art Outside the Bounds: A Sustained Environment.

​Through a variety of mediums, the short film explores the link between wildfires and the current climate crisis. To call attention to the annual increase in wildfires, Escobar illustrates the causes of increasing greenhouse gas emissions that contribute to a changing environment where wildfires start and spread much faster than ever before. The topic is approached with an emphasis on the relationship between humans and the natural environment.
